Avent Bottle
This is a compensated review from BlogHer and Avent
When I was given the Avent bottle to use, the first thing that I thought was that it was a bit bulky. However, when I got it out of the box I was intrigued. It is BPA free which was very important to me when I was choosing my baby’s bottles. It was 11 oz which would be useful since my daughter is going to be drinking more than 6 oz soon. When I took it out of the box it, was much more sleek and light then what I had originally thought. I was always under the impression that when bottles boast about colic this and breast that, they would always have a million pieces and they would be very difficult to put together. I took the bottle apart and surprise, TWO pieces; the nipple ring and the nipple and that was it. I was delightfully surprised. I gave Ariana the bottle that very night. I noticed right away that she was not lingering before she went away with excess gas in her tummy.
I tried it for a week (I am still using it now) and I noticed dramatic changes with her mood after she ate. I was very impressed. The durability is great. I was using a different brand and I have dropped them or forgotten to wash right away and they get a cloudy/milky color to them. This bottle is different; I have dropped it at least 3 times and it has not changed cosmetically. Like I had mentioned previously is that it is very light weight compared to the bottles that I was using before.
The pros are:
- · Great/Sturdy Finish
- · Only two Pieces
- · Variable flow nipple (which means I save money when I need a faster flow)
- · Noticed less colic with the first use
- · 11 oz
- · Light Weight
- · Not a pro, but I thought the honey color tint was pretty. J
The cons are:
- · A little too bulky for Ariana’s Hand
So all in all it’s a very well put together bottle. I will be replacing my current supply with new Avent bottles. If you are going to be having a baby soon I would definitely suggest that you get these bottles. If you need additional details or have questions please comment.
